Reproductive health can shape the way we experience our bodies long before pregnancy ever enters the conversation, and sometimes entirely apart from it.

Reproductive bodywork offers thoughtful, individualized support through menstrual cycles, fertility journeys, endometriosis, and other experiences that bring tension, guarding, fatigue, or a complicated relationship with the body. My approach blends therapeutic massage with myofascial, somatic, craniosacral, and nervous system-aware techniques, following what your body presents rather than asking it to fit into a pre-determined routine.

This work does not treat reproductive conditions or promise reproductive outcomes. It creates space to support the person living with them.

Your cycle can influence energy, sensitivity, tension, and how your body wants to receive touch. We don't prescribe a specific style of massage to each phase, but we can attune the session to where you are and how you're feeling that day.

Fertility Support
Trying to conceive can turn the body into something that feels constantly watched, measured, scheduled, tested, or asked to perform. Bodywork during a fertility journey offers an opportunity to experience your body differently.
Rather than approaching massage as another intervention intended to produce an outcome, our work centers comfort, nervous system regulation, connection, and relief from the physical and emotional load that can accompany trying to conceive.
Sessions may incorporate gentle abdominal and pelvic region work, myofascial techniques, craniosacral therapy, relaxation massage, or more focused therapeutic work depending on your needs.
During Fertility Treatment
If you're undergoing IUI, IVF, fertility testing, medication cycles, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, gestational surrogacy, or other assisted reproductive care, please share where you are within your treatment cycle.

Bodywork may need to be modified around medications, procedures, ovarian stimulation, retrieval, transfer, or the possibility of early pregnancy. When appropriate, I may ask that you confirm massage or specific techniques with your fertility provider before we proceed.

Your medical team manages your fertility treatment. My role is to support the body and person moving through it.

Endometriosis Relief
Living with endometriosis can mean living with much more than period pain.

Chronic or recurring discomfort can influence posture, breathing, movement, sleep, energy, and the way the body learns to brace in anticipation of pain. Surgery and scar tissue may add another layer to those patterns.

Bodywork for clients with endometriosis is individualized and does not attempt to treat or remove endometriosis lesions. Instead, we can work thoughtfully with the tissues and patterns surrounding your experience, including tension through the abdomen, diaphragm, low back, sacrum, hips, glutes, and other areas that may be compensating or guarding.

Myofascial and somatic techniques are particularly useful within my approach here. Rather than forcing guarded tissue to release, we can work slowly, track the body's response, and allow the session to evolve around what feels tolerable and doable.

Some days, that might mean focused therapeutic work. Other days, the most supportive thing we can offer an exhausted nervous system is rest. Both count as care.

Abdominal & Pelvic-Region Bodywork

The abdomen can be an incredibly vulnerable place to receive touch. Work in this area is never assumed simply because you booked reproductive bodywork. We will discuss what you're experiencing, what areas you're comfortable having addressed, and whether abdominal work make sense for that session.
When included, abdominal work may involve gentle massage, myofascial techniques, scar work when appropriate, or subtle somatic approaches. raping and clothing can always be adjusted to your comfort, and you can change your mind at any point.
Scar Support
Laparoscopy, abdominal surgery, reproductive procedures, and other interventions can leave scars that continue to influence how surrounding tissue moves long after the incision itself has healed.
Once medically appropriate, scar-focused work may be incorporated to explore mobility, sensitivity, restriction, and the relationship between a scar and the tissues around it.
Scar work does not need to be aggressive to be meaningful. We begin with what the tissue and nervous system are willing to offer.
Care That Changes With Your Body

Reproductive bodywork is not a standardized protocol. One session may involve focused work through the abdomen, hips, and low back. Another may lead us toward the diaphragm, ribs, neck, or legs. Sometimes the body needs more active therapeutic work; sometimes it needs quiet craniosacral or relaxation-based touch.
We begin with what you're experiencing, observe how your body responds, and let that information guide where we go next.
Supportive Modalities
Reproductive bodywork has access to the same collection of modalities available throughout Willow & Nest when appropriate for care.

Cupping, heat, aromatherapy, red light therapy, heated gua sha, jade combs, craniosacral techniques, and other tools may be incorporated depending on your needs, preferences, medical history, and where you are within your cycle of fertility journey.
If pregnancy is possible, suspected, or confirmed, please let me know. Certain modalities and areas of focus may be modified while we transition your care accordingly.
You don't need to decide which tools you need before arriving. I may offer something when it seems supportive, and you're always welcome to request something you enjoy or decline anything offered. Everything is an invitation, and nothing is an expectation.

Red Light Therapy
Red and near-infrared light therapy may be incorporated into reproductive bodywork in our New Hope location as a gentle, non-invasive complement to hands-on care. Photobiomodulation is being studied for its effects on cellular energy, inflammatory signaling, tissue recovery, and pain, with emerging evidence supporting its use for menstrual discomfort.
Within reproductive care, we may consider red light therapy during certain phases of the menstrual cycle or when supporting clients experiencing inflammation, persistent pelvic discomfort, or endometriosis. Research specific to endometriosis and female fertility is still developing, so this work is offered as supportive care rather than treatment for a reproductive condition or a means of improving conception.
Timing matters. Where you are in your cycle, fertility treatment, and the possibility of pregnancy will always inform whether red light is appropriate for your session.
More about Red Light Therapy, including current research and how it is used at Willow & Nest, is coming soon.
